High Point University Club Sports

With over 25 years of teaching and coaching experience, Shonna Polk brings unmatched dedication, discipline, and heart to the High Point University women’s club basketball program. Polk, the team’s head coach, has a career that spans nearly two decades across high school, AAU and club basketball. As the JV Head Coach at Dudley High School (2006-10), she led her team to an astounding 69-3 record. She continued her success at the varsity level with head coaching roles at Western Guilford and Northeast Guilford High Schools from 2010-19. 
Polk won MVP honors in both basketball and track at Grimsley High School in Greensboro and was named a four-time Academic All-Conference honoree and an All-Conference player in 2002 at Queens University in Charlotte. Under her leadership, the HPU Women’s Club Basketball team is poised to grow, compete, and thrive.
