Alejandro Vargas

Alejandro Vargas begins his first year as head coach of the High Point University women's club soccer team in 2025 after serving as assistant coach for the past two years. Vargas was born in London and has a diverse background in soccer, both as a player and a coach. He started coaching after high school, first becoming the assistant coach at Southwest Guilford High School in High Point, N.C., where he starred as an all- conference player. Vargas then coached at the youth level for Piedmont Triad FC and currently coaches a U11 boys team for Carolina Core FC Youth Academy.
As a coach, Vargas strives to instill a sense of teamwork in each player to help them grow as athletes and individuals. Vargas is wrapping up his studies in kinesiology and sport and social development.
