PREP: Graduated from Portage Area High School … a three-sport athlete for the Mustangs, competing in basketball (2021-25), golf (2021-25) and baseball (2021-25) … capped off his career with 1,000 points in basketball … named Third Team All-State (2024-25) … graduated as the Mustangs’ all-time leader in 3-pointers made … was a two-time district qualifier in golf (2024, 2025) … led the Mustangs to the District Championship on three occasions (2022, 2023, 2025) … captured two Conference Championships (2022, 2025) … reached the State Tournament in 2022, 2023 and 2025 … advanced to the Elite 8 in the State Tournament in 2022. 

PERSONAL: Trae Kargo … son of Jill Kargo, Tonilyn Kargo (stepmother) and Travis Kargo … has three siblings, Koby Kargo, Madison Kargo and Grayson Scarton … was the valedictorian of his graduating class at Portage Area High School … member of National Honor Society.
