Bailey Ayers enters his second season with High Point University’s club baseball program, bringing a proven track record of building winning teams, developing high-impact offenses, and helping student-athletes excel both on the field and in the classroom.

In his first year at High Point, Ayers helped establish the program’s first formal recruiting initiative, successfully recruiting 16 student-athletes to join the Panthers’ club baseball program heading into the 2026-27 season. His recruiting efforts have helped expand the program’s roster and establish a foundation for continued growth and development within High Point Club Baseball.

Ayers joined High Point after serving as Recruiting Coordinator and Hitting Coach at Savannah State University, where he helped guide the Tigers’ offense to national prominence. In 2024, Savannah State ranked among the top five nationally in four NCAA Division II offensive categories, including a .340 team batting average and a .464 on-base percentage. Eight players hit over .300, nine earned All-Conference honors, and the team ranked third nationally in stolen bases. The season culminated in the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance in more than a decade.

A builder of programs as well as lineups, Ayers also played a key role in the revival of the New River Community College baseball program following a multi-year hiatus. Without athletic scholarships or on-campus athletic facilities, he recruited more than 25 players to help reestablish the program. Following his departure, those recruits helped the program set its institutional single season wins record in 2024.

Ayers has also coached successfully at the summer collegiate level in the Southeastern Collegiate Baseball League and Beach Collegiate Baseball League, where his teams produced multiple All-League selections and a league MVP.
Committed to developing the complete student-athlete, Ayers places equal emphasis on athletic and academic success. His teams have produced some of the highest GPAs within their respective athletic departments, while his players have earned institutional scholar-athlete awards and other academic honors.

A native of Pulaski County, Virginia, Ayers played collegiately at Bluefield University and Concord University, earning All-Academic honors during his playing career. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Concord University and an MBA in Sports Business from Grand Canyon University.

At High Point University, Ayers continues to bring a high-energy, detail-oriented approach to player development, with an emphasis on offensive production, recruiting, player development, and building a culture centered on growth and team success.
