Bill Frazier, a lifelong angler from Memphis, Tenn. with over 50 years of fishing experience, serves as the bass fishing head coach. Before coming to High Point University, Frazier served as a regional director for a national bass fishing association and helped develop young anglers into championship-caliber competitors. He coached four high school ers to world championship titles and worked many fishing circuits throughout the southeast. At HPU, he’s been crucial in building a team culture grounded in leadership, respect and growth.Â
Frazier notes that his coaching style is hands-on, patient and rooted in teaching and helping these student athletes learn to love the water. He never settles with helping his anglers with becoming the best people they can be. When he isn't coaching, Frazier volunteers at youth fishing tournaments, advocating for clean waterways and chasing bass on the nearest lake.
