High Point University Club Sports

Dan Turner enters his 13th season as head coach of the High Point University men’s club volleyball team. A full-time Career and Technical Education teacher at Ragsdale High School in Jamestown, N.C., Turner led HPU to a national championships berth in 2020, despite the tournament being cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Panthers returned to national competition in the spring of 2025 with high hopes for a repeat trip in 2026. A former outside hitter and setter at the University of Connecticut, Turner also serves as the Ragsdale High School girls coach. In his free time, he enjoys hiking in various spots across North Carolina and spending time with his two sons, Ben and Bryan.
