Davis Shoener

Davis Shoener was brought on the High Point Club Baseball staff in June 2021 and serves as an assistant coach, specializing in both hitting and the play of the outfielder.  

Shoener is an alumnus of High Point University. receiving his bachelor’s degree in exercise science and his master’s degree in communication and business leadership. An outfielder for High Point’s Club Baseball team (2016-2021), he was the team’s lead off hitter. Shoener finished his collegiate playing career with a .344 batting average, 28 runs, 10 RBI and 15 stolen bases.  

During his first year as an assistant coach in the 2022 season, HPU finished first in the Dixie North Conference and won the Dixie Region, advancing to the NCBA Division II World Series for the first time in program history. High Point would finish the season ranked fifth in the nation and have three players listed in the Top-20 in hits on the season. In 2023 and 2024, the team won the Dixie North Conference again and reached the Dixie Region quarterfinals. 

Since starting in the role, High Point has produced four NCBA All-American Players and 20 All-Region Players. 

Coach Shoener resides in Winston-Salem with his wife, Morgan.
