High Point University Club Sports

Sarah Kornblum brings more than 15 years of rowing and coaching experience to the High Point University Club Rowing team. She began her rowing career as a Division I walk-on athlete at Rutgers University, where she quickly rose through the ranks, ultimately serving as team captain her senior year. 

After graduating, Sarah transitioned into coaching in 2007 as an assistant coach with Ridgewood High School Rowing before being promoted to head coach the following year. In 2009, she joined Nereid Boat Club, where she served in multiple roles—including assistant coach, head coach, and program director—over the span of more than a decade. From 2018 to 2020, she also contributed her expertise as an assistant coach for Montclair High School Crew. 

In 2021, Sarah relocated to North Carolina and joined High Point University as an assistant rowing coach while also coaching with North Carolina Rowing Club. Drawing from her unique experience as both a walk-on athlete and a seasoned coach, Sarah is passionate about athlete development, fostering team culture, and helping rowers of all levels achieve their full potential.
