Todd Murphy, Going into his 10th year for HPU Club Baseball which plays in the NCBA, National Club Baseball League at the Division I level, is looking to continue the upward success the program has set in the past 9 years. In Murphy’s first year as head coach, 2015-2016, he took the Panthers to a 12-10 overall record and placed third in the conference with a 6-6 record. With a talent pool of 35 players, the team went 9-3 the next fall 2016 development season and showcased a great year in the spring of 2017 with a 16-4 overall record, winning the Panthers first ever conference championship with a conference record of 9-2. Winning the conference title also advanced the HPU Club Baseball team to its first ever regional playoff appearance which was held in Columbus, Georgia. The Panthers played their way to a 2nd conference championship and a 2nd trip to Peachtree, Georgia where they were 1st runner up in Regional Playoffs, falling 1 game short reaching the Div. II World series in Pittsburg, Kansas. Since then, the Panthers have captured 3 more conference titles bringing their total to 5 and 5 regional playoff appearances. In 2022, HPU Club Baseball won the Dixie Regional Championship and earned a bid to the College World Series in Butler, PA finishing 5th in the nation! The team has been ranked in the top 20 national poll since 2018.
