HIGH POINT, N.C. – Will Price of the High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports (ICS) men's basketball program is adding William Hayes as assistant coach for the upcoming 2026-27 season. 

Hayes, who graduated alongside Price at of T.W. Andrews High School, is most prominently known for his 11-year NFL career that included time with Tennessee (2008-11), St. Louis / L.A. Rams (2012-16) and Miami (2017-18). 

Hayes was drafted in the fourth round (103rd overall) by the Titans after playing collegiately at Winston-Salem State. On the gridiron he appeared in 137 games, recorded 337 total tackles (246 solo) and had one interception. Hayes' best season came in 2015, where he made 53 tackles (36 solo) along with 12 tackles for loss for the Rams. 

Hayes rejoins his former T.W. Andrews teammate, Price, who inherits a Panther men's basketball team that reached the NCCBA Men's South Atlantic Regional Tournament in Orangeburg, S.C., in March.
