HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports women's hockey team was seeded sixth in the AAU College Hockey National Tournament in an announcement from the league on Monday evening.
The AAU College Hockey National Tournament will span from March 7-11 and will take place at the Community First Igloo in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Panthers enter the tournament on a five-game winning streak after capturing the Commodore Cup in the ACCHL Championship game against Virginia Tech on February 22nd.
The Panthers, who were the No. 1 overall seed in the ACCHL tournament, opened with a 10-2 victory over Georgetown before claiming the league title with a victory against Virginia Tech.
High Point also won the ACCHL Fall Tournament crown in November, outscoring its opposition 38-10, while rattling off wins over Virginia Tech, North Carolina, George Washington and Virginia along the way.
Furthermore, the Panthers have won 11 of their last 13 games, including a sweep of Alabama on the road in hostile territory by scores of 4-3 and 9-4 on February 13th and 14th, respectively.
The sweep of the Crimson Tide marked the fourth time this season the Panther women have completed a series sweep and second sweep on the road, a feat they first accomplished at West Chester (Pa.) on October 18-19. High Point also conducted sweeps of Georgia Southern (Sept. 20-21) and N.C. State (Sept. 26-27) during the 2025-26 season.
