HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports program begins a hectic three-day stretch that will include 19 events over a three-day stretch from March 20th through March 22nd.
The Panthers' Intercollegiate Club Sports program will be represented in competition by the baseball, equestrian, golf, rowing, softball, men's lacrosse, men's soccer (purple), men's soccer (white), women's lacrosse, women's soccer and women's volleyball squads.
The following is a breakdown of each team's events during the weekend:
BASEBALL
March 21 | at Charlotte | Charlotte, N.C. | Melvin Park | 12 p.m. / 3 p.m.
March 22 | at Charlotte | Charlotte, N.C. | Melvin Park | 12 p.m.
After two contrastingly different series to open the spring, one which resulted in a sweep of Elon and the other which resulted in a sweep by Tennessee, the High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports baseball team heads to Charlotte and Melvin Park this weekend for a two-day, three-game series. The Panthers are 14-8 overall and are looking to rebound from a difficult offensive performance against Tennessee, where they managed just seven runs. In the previous series, with Elon (March 7-8), High Point outscored the opposition 22-13.
EQUESTRIAN
March 21-22 | at Emory & Henry | Emory, Va. | All Day
The High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports equestrian team will head to Emory, Va., this weekend to compete in its second event of the spring slate against Emory & Henry. The Panthers will count points from the previous event against UNC Greensboro on Saturday afternoon.
GOLF
March 21-22 | at North Carolina Regional Tournament | Bermuda Run, N.C. | All Day
After notching three consecutive Top 3 finishes, the High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports golf team returns to the links this weekend to compete in the North Carolina Regional Tournament at Bermuda Run on Saturday and Sunday. The Panthers are looking to continue their solid play in the spring. The 'A' unit finished second of nine teams at the Southeast Regional (Feb. 15), which was followed by a third-place outing in the Redbridge Golf Tournament (Feb. 22) and a third-place performance at the Mooresville Golf Tournament on March 1st.
ROWING
March 20-21 | at John Ferriss Lanier Shamrock Sprints | Gainesville, Ga. | All Day
Making its first appearance since the Head of the South events on November 7th, the High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports rowing team heads to Gainesville, Ga., to compete in the John Ferris Shamrock Sprints this weekend. The event, which will take place on March 21-22, will be held at the Lake Lanier Olympic Park.
SOFTBALL

The High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports softball team begins a two-day, four-game stretch that includes a pair of clashes at Montreat (March 22) and two games at Armstrong Park in High Point (March 22), which will pit the Panthers against North Carolina (10 a.m.) and East Carolina (12 p.m.). The Panthers have won eight of their last 10 contests with the only setbacks coming to Guilford on March 8th. High Point rebounded from those losses to sweep Elon by scores of 10-2 and 9-1 in the home spring opener on March 14th.
MEN'S LACROSSE

With a 3-3 mark on the season after splitting its last two outings, the High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports men's lacrosse team heads to Michigan this weekend for a series of games. The Panthers return to the field after a 14-day layoff to face Central Michigan on Friday evening at 7 p.m. in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The following afternoon, in Allendale, High Point will square off against Grand Valley State. The Panthers are 1-2 on the road this season with the lone victory coming over Elon, 19-7.
MEN'S SOCCER (PURPLE)

The High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports men's soccer purple squad returns to the pitch this weekend to host Appalachian State on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. The Panthers are searching for offensive rhythm after three shutouts, including an 8-0 setback to N.C. State on March 7th in their last outing. High Point last netted a goal on October 25th at Davidson and last claimed a win on October 19th against UNC Greensboro.
MEN'S SOCCER (WHITE)

The High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports men's soccer white squad heads into this weekend's clash with Davidson in search of its first win of the season. The Panthers have previously faced North Carolina, Appalachian State, Carolina University, Davidson, Elon, Charlotte and Duke and remain in search of their first win and first goal of the season.
WOMEN'S LACROSSE

After claiming wins over Wake Forest (8-4) and East Carolina (7-6 OT) on February 8th, the High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports women's lacrosse team returns to the field this weekend in Mount Pleasant, S.C. The Panthers will take part in a tournament hosted by College of Charleston, facing FGCU (11 a.m.) and Florida Atlantic (1 p.m.) before ending the day with a game versus the host Cougars at 5 p.m. High Point is 5-3 overall and 1-1 on the road this season.

The High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports women's soccer team faces a difficult three-game in three-day stretch this weekend where it will face off against Davidson and Western Carolina. High Point opens the weekend with a trip to Davidson, where it will play at 6 p.m. on Friday evening. The following afternoon, the Panthers host Western Carolina on Congdon Field at 3:30 p.m. ahead of a rematch with Davidson at home on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Panthers are 5-6-3 overall and are in search of their first win since downing N.C. State 2-0 on October 26th.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

The High Point University Intercollegiate Club Sports women's volleyball team wraps up the March portion of its schedule with a trip to Athens, Ga., this weekend. High Point has competed in three previous tournaments this spring at East Carolina, Virginia Tech and North Carolina.
